Email Scandal Threatens Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s Congressional Seat

July 25, 2016

(Weston, FL) Following an email scandal, Debbie Wasserman Schulz, who represents Florida’s 23rd Congressional District and who has served as Chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) since 2011, has tendered her resignation as DNC Chair effective at the end of this week’s DNC Convention. Emails from the DNC show that the Congresswoman was embroiled in a scheme to stop Bernie Sanders from winning the Democrat Primary and to rig the election for Hillary Clinton.

As a reward for her corruption, Hillary Clinton has named Wasserman Schultz the Honorary Chairwoman of and a surrogate for her Presidential Campaign. This was either payback for the DNC’s primary rigging or Hillary Clinton just wanting to stick it to her former primary opponent, Bernie Sanders.

This will backfire, as voters, especially those who support Bernie Sanders, will remember the corruption involved in both Clinton and Wasserman Schultz’s email scandals. Wasserman Schultz was loudly booed by Florida Democrats, during her press conference about her resignation, and as a result, will not be speaking on the floor of the DNC Convention.

This will also propel Republican candidate Joe Kaufman, who is running against Wasserman Schultz, to victory in November. While Wasserman Schultz appears to many as someone who feels she is above the law, Joe Kaufman puts the needs of his country and countrymen first, no matter what their party affiliation is.

No doubt, if this issue regarding the DNC emails continues to haunt Wasserman Schultz up until Election Day, she will lose her Congressional seat. She has already gained the ire of many voters for her voting to fast track the Trans-Pacific Partnership and her vote in favor of President Obama’s disastrous Iran deal.

The Republicans have a real alternative in Joe Kaufman, who has been endorsed by several prominent Republicans and has promised to change things regarding employment, defense and energy. Alas, Wasserman Schultz has done nothing on any of these issues, except to offer unwarranted and divisive rhetoric. The recent attacks in Orlando, show that Florida is very much a target of terrorism, and Kaufman’s background in counter-terrorism is needed in Congress at this time.

It stands to reason that Kaufman will be the next representative from Florida’s Congressional District 23.
